Situated 1200 feet (366 metres) up in the beautiful Peak National Park, with its sparse grass and rugged terrain, it's an ideal environment in which
to rear Shetland Ponies, ensuring they are active and fit. Our breeding policy has been greatly influenced by the late Maurice Cox
(Marshwood Stud) when he pointed up the close breeding programmes of the successful early Studs.

Virella of Dryknowl Supreme Champion, 1997 Breed Show Also Breeders of the Reserve Champion and Champion of the Royal Show (1996 and 2002) and of the Reserve Female Champion (1998, 1999 & 2003) and Female and reserve Champion, Royal Highland (2000) Dryknowl ponies, now with new owners, enjoyed success both in and out of the ring in 2003

Dryknowl Ennar was Overall Champion Gelding at the Breed Show 2003, Champion Senior Gelding, National Awards Scheme, Champion at Royal Windsor, Heathfield, Edenbridge and Oxted, Ponies UK (South), Sussex Show and Kent County. Owned by Linda Buchanan-Jackson (Sussex)
Dryknowl Saminda was 2nd in both 2002 and 2003 coloured class at S.P.S-B.S. Breed Show. 1st 2-3 year old and Res. Jun. Champion, Denby and Flintshire Show. Owned by Frances Morkill (Wales)
