BRIDGWATER REPORT : THE ANNUAL SHOW & SALE OF   PEDIGREE SHETLAND & SPOTTED PONIES A reduced entry of 80 pedigree Shetland and Spotted ponies met a difficult trade, in line with the larger horse sale trade generally. However reportedly better than other Shetland sales this season. Top of the day was £997.50 for a 2007 mare Helawi Tootsie Rose from Mrs J Isaacs of Enmore. This stylish homozygous piebald was by Halstock Chesterfield and out of  Abbotsbury Finale. She sold to Messrs D & J Hodge & Walters of Okehampton to join the Halstock and Blackertor Studs. Mrs Isaacs continued her dispersal with another mare, Halstock Cognacs Diamante, born 2007, which sold at £756 to Messrs Hodge & Walters again and a 2004 mare, Stepsford Zanadoo, full of Kerswell and Firth lines, which sold at £619.50 to Mrs C Felton of  Northampton. Stallions sold to £945 for Parlington Orson, a 2001 32” piebald from Mrs S Kremers of Torquay. A homozygous stallion, he sold to Mr D Hicks of Somerton.
